Whenever I can afford to settle down somewhere, the first thing I will buy, right after the HD Flatscreen TV with a World Sports package, is a foosball table. This table will go on the 3rd floor of my mansion - next to the Jacuzzi. Then I can practice the following:

Hibs Crossbar Challenge
Those who know me best will know why I posted this. I for one still like Soccer AM.
My Next Girfriend Watch....
Lately I've been contemplating getting a new job with one of the new WPS clubs in America (The USA's brand new women's soccer league). The plan is two-fold. First, take a job with a stateside club so that I can continue working in professional soccer. Second, Charm one of the lady players so that she will become my dream pro-soccer playing girlfriend. Who could be so lucky you ask? Well, how about Heather Mitts. US national defender Mitts was voted sexiest female athlete a few years back, and she will be playing for the Boston Breakers come March. Do I have a shot? Highly Doubtful, but we all must dream.
UPDATE: Heather Mitts is engaged. Damn.

Visiting the Rock....
Sorry to all my readers, all 2 of you, for the lack of posts lately - I am currently back in the States visiting my family for a week. I am actually in my hometown of Little Rock, Arkansas, which is not a bad place to live. But it is a rough place to live for a Soccer fan. Not many organised leagues, teams, and not many players. And hardly any one follows the sport. Today I went to a Pub called the Fox and Hound, a self proclaimed "English Pub," and they were not showing any soccer on TV. Furthermore, they would not even be showing the USA v Sweden match later on. Boo.
Such is the life of an American soccer fan in the South US.
More to come later....

Footballing Legends - Brian McBride
This pick of mine is a controversial one, but ask any American soccer fan or Fulham FC fan, and they will tell you that indeed, Brian McBride is a legend. While not a man with the greatest football skill, his aerial prowess, non-stop determination, and leadership make him a great. One more thing - he was an underrated finisher.
This highlight reel came out when he announced his international retirement (tear). Check the textbook finish on Van deSaar.

Soccer in the White House
Apparently, the President-Elect supports West Ham United, according to the Telegraph. Not my choice, but fair enough. I'm just glad he likes the sport.

Shaolin Soccer
Our first movie review is for Shaolin Soccer, a 2001 film starring Stephen Chow (whoever that is). This movie combines two of the coolest things ever - Soccer and Martial Arts. You have to suspend belief to watch the film, but the CGI is amazing and there are some humorous moments throughout the film.
Check the trailer:
I know I know, it looks corny. And it is. But definetly worth a rent at the local video store. Pick up some food as well to watch it with. I recommend a plate of rice, crispy shredded duck, and a 500ml bottle of Coke for this one.
Final Grade: 6/10 stars
